Choosing a removals firm is difficult as they provide very similar services – and prices do vary hugely. We were significantly downsizing from a five bed house and moving within Manchester and chose Roman because of the friendliness professionalism and competitive price (they were reassuringly mid range in their quote). We opted for their full packing service (strongly recommended).
In terms of their service I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our sale and purchase were very difficult and uncertain up until the day before completion – and their understanding sensitivity and flexibility leading up to that was just what we needed.
The packing was carried out by Grant and Paul with military efficiency but also with sensitivity care and again flexibility as we were still trying to finalize some details (together with some really bad jokes!). The moving day itself was again carried out by Grant and Paul with Dave and Ian assisting – and they all worked tirelessly at our old and new properties to move three van loads of possessions. They then helped set up our kid’s new bedrooms so that they had somewhere to sleep amid the chaos. I can’t thank them enough for their hard work and dedication during a very long day.
